I have a feeling he’s in bad shape, and a lot of the confession was probably words put into his mouth. He probably doesn’t even remember being interrogated. The feds sometime come up with scenarios as to how an event happened, to get the suspects to speak, or they ask, “how would you have committed this crime?”, I think that’s what happened to Jahar.

Are they trying to say he wasn’t in a suitable state to be giving statements at his bedside? If so, why does that even help the defense if they are going to have him plead guilty anyway? Can anyone explain this to me, please?

It will be used for mitigation I think they want to use these pictures to humanize him and help him avoid the death penalty. I don’t know if he will be pleading guilty or not.

Kind of. The pictures can’t be taken by the defense since visitors are not allowed cameras, pictures can be taken by the BOP while the defense attorneys are present, but the pictures are not exclusive to the defense, meaning prosecutors can have copies of these pictures as well.

That’s what I get from it, and it seems they don’t want to turn this case into a spectacle.

According to his alleged confession, they weren’t planning on bombing the marathon, that was something they decided last minute. So„ I guess they didn’t really have a plan and didn’t expect to get identified. About the suicide, it was also mentioned that they considered suicide but decided against it, then that tweet would make sense. Each time they release something, it gets deemed false, so they just let it go thinking people will forget about it. Then they continue to release even more “evidence” which later on also gets deemed false.
